SIGA North America and Signal Works: A Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Architectural Innovation

Happy International Day of Clean Energy!

The United Nations Environment Programme declares 26 January as the International Day of Clean Energy for 2025. The theme is “Clean Energy for People and Planet.” This aligns perfectly with the People-Foocused, Place-Based and Purpose-Driven mission of Signal Works. To commemorate this day, Signal Works collaborated with one of the leaders in the development of zero energy loss buildings with high performance construction tapes and membranes.

At the headquarters of Signal Works in Providence, RI, the synergy between sustainable building practices and architectural innovation was on full display during a recent hands-on Lunch & Learn (L&L) session hosted by SIGA North America. John Rockwell, Trainer & Application Advisor at SIGA, guided our high-performing architects through the application of tapes and membranes that reinforce airtightness and moisture management—a critical aspect of designing energy-efficient buildings.

Fostering Sustainable Design Solutions

This event highlighted the importance of collaborative learning in the pursuit of top-notch buildings. Signal Works, a firm deeply committed to redefining architectural possibilities, aligns closely with SIGA’s vision of a future where buildings consume minimal energy while providing maximum comfort. SIGA’s dedication to reducing energy waste through superior sealing solutions supports Signal Works’ mission to create innovative designs that respect the planet and inspire communities.

The hands-on workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to explore practical techniques for improving building envelopes, ensuring that designs not only meet aesthetic goals but also uphold rigorous sustainability standards.

Aligning with Signal Works’ Mission and Vision

Signal Works envisions architecture as a means to shape a more sustainable and inclusive future. According to their mission, their practice is rooted in exploring creative possibilities while prioritizing social and environmental responsibility. The collaboration with SIGA underscores this ethos, equipping professionals with tools and techniques to realize zero-energy designs.

Building Towards a Better Future

This workshop represents more than just a learning session—it is a step toward a broader movement of creating environmentally responsible structures that benefit both people and the planet. Signal Works and SIGA share a commitment to hurtling the boundaries of what architecture can achieve, emphasizing the transformative power of sustainable design.

As we move towards a future shaped by innovation and collaboration, partnerships like this reaffirm the importance of knowledge-sharing in achieving a collective goal: a world of zero-energy loss buildings that inspire and sustain.
